Our range of products are effective in controlling fleas quickly. With our Insecto range, you have access to professional strength insecticide that is available for amateur use whilst our Organ-X range and traps can provide options for getting rid of fleas without the use of pesticides. For best results, using a combination of the powders, traps, sprays and foggers can be employed to kill the fleas off and help prevent them coming back.
What Are They?
Fleas are tiny insects that live on the outside of a host animal, feeding on the blood of mammals and birds which can cause irritation and itching to pets and humans alike. Aside from the discomfort, they do not usually carry diseases. However, itching the bites can lead to infections so it's important to get rid of fleas as soon as they become present.
Where & When Are They Found?
​They are usually found on their chosen host (people, pets etc.) but can also be found nesting in places where there is soft protection such as sofas, and bedding and carpets.

Signs of a flea infestation can include a pet constantly scratching, seeing fleas or droppings on your pet or bites people. You may also see them jumping around furniture or hosts. They prefer warmer weather so they are more common in the summer months.
Why Are They Present?
​Although bad hygiene can increase the chances of a flea infestation, they will also infest clean environments as they jump from host to host looking for new homes.
If you have an infestation, a good place to start is to check and treat your pets with specialist flea products. Once completed, check to see if fleas are present in furnishings around your home. ​​Our range of products can help to eliminate and prevent fleas in the home or garden. Spray, Powder, Fogger or Trap?
Spray Sprays are effective when you need to eradicate fleas in a specific area and want to reduce the risk of affecting non-target species through spillage. For example, if fleas can be seen on a specific piece of furniture that is isolated. The spray can be applied directly to the infected area with reduced risk of the product being carried to unaffected locations.
Powders Powders can be effective when there is a larger area that is infected by fleas, or there are crack and crevices that can be harder to access directly with sprays. Caution should always be taken to avoid leaving it in areas that may affect non-target species. Desi-Dust can also be used to inhibit the ability of fleas to survive on affected areas, preventing their return.
Traps Our trap works by attracting fleas to the compartment and catches them inside with a sticky board. This is best used for monitoring the presence of fleas (either prior to treatment to check if they are present or after treatment to see if it has been successful).
Foggers Foggers are a great option for killing fleas when the infected area is enclosed (such as a room or garage). They fill the room with chemicals that kill off the fleas, even in hard to reach places that can't be reached by powders or sprays such as cracks and crevices. Caution should be taken as the chemicals will also kill any other species of insect in the area as well. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions.
